Aim
Nourish Research Lab aims to understand and mitigate inequalities in health by means of promoting health and social justice.
Research Scope
This aim is addressed as follows:
Utilizing cross-country comparisons to understand structural factors impacting health
Highlighting inequalities faced by equity-deserving social groups (e.g., victimized and victimizing youth, youth living in low socioeconomic position, living in single-parent households, and non-majority groups including gender minorities, racial groups, visible minorities)
Investigating the nature and intersection of social inequalities among populations regionally and globally
Studying the relationship between intersectional social groupings and health (physical, mental, social, emotional, sexual, spiritual)
Using person-centered approaches to closely reflect lived experience
Identifying determinants that narrow health inequality gaps using equitable and inclusive approaches
